This is a custom RS232 interface for the KENWOOD TS400S transceiver
and the R-5000 receiver along with an RS232 to USB cable / driver, the two computer
chips that Kenwood called the IC-10 chipset and Ham Radio Deluxe software on a CD
disc.
The interfaces are custom made and replace the discontinued Kenwood IF-232 and power
supply and cables which would cost over $100 without the USB adapter and the IC-10
chips. The internal installation of the IC-10 chipset is mandatory for the R-5000
and the TS-440S to activate the rear panel ACC port for potential computer control.
We have sold many of these interface cables for Kenwood rigs with 100% success.
