The Super Antenna MP-1 is a great portable HF antenna that covers between 10 and 40 meters and even 75/80 meters by adding the optional 80 meter coil below the main coil.

Tuning is very easy and a good SWR can be obtained. Counterpoise cables are included as they are very important to the proper setup and use of the antenna. Many discussion have taken place on the net about making improvements to the antenna's efficiency by making custom counterpoise cables in the proper lengths for the band in use.

The system includes an antenna mount and clamp that can be attached to a picnic table or other suitable flat surface such as a balcony. We offer custom packages with the antenna, six foot tall heady duty tripod / stands, deluxe mounting bracket with loops for your counterpoise cables / guy wires and RG8X cables in 25 and 50 foot lengths.

This antenna has had many great reviews posted on the Net including on eHam. We have personally tested the much more expensive Buddystick and prefer the Super Antenna MP-1 because of performance and quality of components.

The included 75/80 meter coil when installed changes the antennas coverage to between 3.5 MHz and 4.0 MHz.


SUPER ANTENNA MP1

1.  Portable HF ( 7 MHZ—450 MHZ) Antenna - 3.5-4 MHZ with optional coil (available on a different auction)
2.  Power handling - QRP to 200 Watts.
3.  The MP1 will fit into a briefcase with a K2, FT817 or any other small rig. It’s universal mount allows it to be set up on most any object that is handy at any angle. We offer 6 foot tall heady duty stand and mounting brackets (available on a different auction)

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Find a support location for the universal mount
2. Attach it with the “C” clamp provided
3. Adjust the universal mount so the MP1 is in a vertical position and tighten bolts on the mount.
4. Assemble the antenna as shown in the drawing
5. Attach the counterpoise wires and position them (these can be improved with your own custom lengths)
6. Connect a 52 ohm coax cable from the rig to the antenna SO-239 jack
7. Adjust the SLIDER to the frequency you want and snug down the Band Lock Screw.

Note: To avoid stripping threads, do not over-tighten Nylon locking screw
