GRUNDIG G5 is the newest high quality world receiver made for GRUNDIG by the DEGEN electronics company which is the sister company of TECSUN and is one of the top manufacturing companies in China. It receives all of the shortwave frequencies, Long Wave and FM.

The G5 can decode SSB Single Side Band broadcasts through it's SSB circuitry, 1 kHz tuning steps and clarifier 6.5"(w) x 4" (h) x 1" (d) and weight: 1 lb with batteries. It is has 700 memories (100 pages) that can store your favorite stations with alpha-numeric tagging.

This package comes with a USA 110 volt AC adapter/charger (that can charge the BONUS NiMH batteries inside the radio), the BONUS Stereo Earbuds, hand strap and a multi language manual (including English) all in the original GRUNDIG packaging. GRUNDIG does not include the rechargeable batteries or the stereo earbuds, but we add these items as BONUSES.

The GRUNDIG G5 receives FM in stereo from 76 to 108 mHz with ATS (Automatic Tuning Storage) of local FM frequencies, LW Long Wave from 150 kHz to 519 kHz, AM Medium Wave from 520 to 1710 kHz and Shortwave from 1.711 to 30 mHz. Both the sound quality and reception sensitivity is top notch and combined with the many convenience features makes it a tremendous value. Initial reviews have been very favorable.

A NARROW filter setting better separates stations on crowded shortwave bands or with SSB use and a WIDE filter setting provides better audio fidelity. The included indoor wire antenna plugs into the radio's external antenna jack and improves the shortwave reception over the telescopic antenna. The radio contains an automatic light sensor that turns on the light for the LCD display and the keypad whenever a key is pressed or a knob is turned or the LIGHT button can be depresses. The dual conversion circuitry reduces out of band stations from interfering with the received frequency. A LINE OUT jack allows the hookup of outboard speakers such as those used for computers to provide room filling sound, FM in stereo.
